Class 1 defines reaction engineering. Codes of engineering ethics are presented and the importance of safety in chemical processing is stressed.

  2. be aware of the AIChE code of ethics and your responsibility to adhere to it
  3. know that failure to operate chemical processes ethically and safely can lead to death or injury
  4. have identified ways you can act ethically and address safety in your current situation
